Our Creative Director loves cooking!!! So what could this mean to Mobistudios?  It means that every opportunities there are for photo-taking, he will make sure that the images were captured well even out of our real photo & video production.  Here is a short video clip sample of how a simple series of well taken images could be pieced up together into a simple photo-story.

We do capture still shots and provide post productions into slide shows or photo-video presentation clips.

The start of the day today is into the kitchen where I prepared a malay traditional sauce normally served with Nasi Lemak (Literally meaning – Fat rice….ahem ahem..kidding. Its actually rice cooked with coconut milk). Its a sauce that my late parents used to make while I was growing up. They were hawkers. So friends and family here in Melbourne were planning to have some of these sauce packed for the coming Ramadan fasting month. So here, I got a chance to cook and also to take photo of the stuff I cook hehehehe. Anyone wanna sign up for a cooking + photography lesson. Seriously. If you are interested in learning how to cook and also take photos – do drop me a note. You chef’s and restaurant owners out there – if you have a new dish to be included in your restaurant menu, do give us a call – 04 25367692 (Melbourne Australia).

Sambal Tumis Photo

Photo was taken with a single lighting. Flash bounced and diffused on overhead ceiling. Slow synced to get some light over the rear from the morning light.
Have a great day!!!

I had a chance to grab some food shots today as my wife and a few other housewives had a small kitchen project, to cook one of the local Singapore/Malay dish that they missed.  Its the all time favorite Indian Rojak.  Its actually a mixture of fried items like seafood, sausage, flour balls and served with chopped onions and chillies.  “Rojak”  refers to the ” all mixed up” like in a salad.  Its eaten with the special “dipping sauce” which is made form peanuts and mashed sweet potatoes.  Well, when my wife got back home today, I just had to stop her from putting it onto the dining table and I hijacked it for this shot, which I later edited and added the titling and graffiti.Indian Rojak

Shot was taken with a simple setup of a flash fired onto the white kitchen ceiling. Image edited in Adobe Photoshop. Okay gotta eat now.
More food to come.
